LA Farmer's Supper with Urban Homestead + Open Silo

  • The Urban Homestead 631 Cypress Avenue Pasadena, CA, 91103 United States (map)

Come have dinner with the Urban Homestead and Open Silo!

The Dervaes family of the Urban Homestead and Jes McBride of Open Silo are co-hosting a potluck supper for LA farmers and urban agriculture enthusiasts, and we'd love to see you there. We want to meet knew folks, reconnect with friends, and share ideas about how to support the urban ag community in our city. Bring a dish and a beverage to share. We'll provide brown rice and mixed greens for a big salad.

We'll be convening at 6 pm to start mingling and prepping our food, with dinner to start shortly after. Among many topics, we'll be hearing an update from the first gathering of the Farmer's Guild, LA Chapter. This is an exciting new opportunity for LA farmers and advocates to form a coalition to share resources and amplify their voice in our city.

This dinner is free of charge but space is limited. RSVP today to reserve your seat!

About the Farmer's Guild:

"We are farmers, ranchers, and sustainable food system advocates. With a passion for feeding our local communities, we unite to share skills, knowledge and forge a collective voice for sustainable agriculture. Founded by farmers for farmers, we support healthy food production by collectively striving toward the economic viability of farms as well as the social networks to attract, cultivate and sustain a new generation ready to work the land. As 2017, we are excited to announce our merger with CAFF (Community Alliance with Family Farmers)."
